Indian Potato Poha Recpie / Potato Flattened Rice - Sousa's Kitchen

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 Tsp Asafoetida
  • 1 Cup Cilantro
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 stems Curry Leaves
  • 1 Green Chilly
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 Medium Onions
  • 1/2 cup Roasted Peanuts
  • 4 cups Poha
  • 2 Medium potatoes
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder

Method
  1. Add water to the Poha and wash and strain it,
  2. Add 2 Tbsp oil to a pot over medium heat. Then add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and the Asafoetida, curry leaves, and the roasted peanuts. Then mix together.
  3. Add the potatoes, and mix together. Add the onions and continue cooking.
  4. Add the green chilly, salt, and sugar and mix together. Then add the turmeric powder and stir.
  5. Add the Poha into the pot and mix until everything is evenly mixed. Then add the cilantro
  6. Cover and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Place on a plate and serve.
  8. Serve and Enjoy!
