Goan Sausage Pulao (Choris) - Sousa's Kitchen

 


INGREDIENTS

  • 25 Goan Sausages
  • 3 Cups Basmati Rice
  • 1 Big Tomato
  • 2 Big Onions
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 10 Cardamom
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 12 Cloves
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 6 Cups Chicken Broth
  • 3 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

Method
  1. In a pot over med - high heat add some oil. Then add the bay leaves, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and cardamom. Then add the onions and sauté everything. 
  2. Then Add Salt and the Tomatoes and mix together. Then add the green chilies and the ginger garlic paste. Mix together and then add the rice. Mix together. 
  3. Add the turmeric powder and mix together. Then boil the chicken broth and add hot and add Sugar. 
  4. Cover and cook until the water evaporates. Add the butter and continue to close and cook.
  5. Add the sausages and mix together. Then cover again and cook for 5 minutes on low heat. 
  6. Serve Hot and Enjoy!!
