Easy Delicious Almond Cookies - Sousa's Kitchen


 


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Egg Yolks
  • 4 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Crushed Almonds
  • 16 OZ / 453g Butter
  • 1 1/2 Cup Powered Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Tsp Almond Extract

Method
  1. Mix the Baking powder and the Flour together. Add the butter into the mixer. Add the powdered Sugar into the mixer and start to mix on slow. 
  2. Add the Egg Yolks and the Almond Extract. Slowly add the Flour one spoon at a time, while mixing on slow. Then repeat the same steps with the Crushed Almonds.
  3. Check to make sure that the dough is not sticking to your hands, and cover and let it rest for 1 hour.
  4. Gently grab the dough and roll it in your palms to form a ball. Place each ball about 1-2 inches away from each other and using a cookie press. Press them into your desired design.
  5. Repeat until you use all of the dough.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350º F. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the corners are golden brown. 
  7. Serve and Enjoy!!
