Sousa's Dulce De Leche Shortbread Christmas Cookies - Sousa's Kitchen

 



INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Cup grated coconut
  • 2 Cups Almond Flour
  • 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 13.4 Oz / 380 g Dulce de Leche
  • 1/2 tsp Cardomon Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 454 g / 16 Oz Butter
  • 1 1/2 Cup Powder Sugar

Method
  1. In a blender add butter, mix until smooth. 
  2. Add All purpose flour one spoon at a time, then add almond flour one spoon at a time, then add the vanilla extract, and slowly add the powered sugar into the mixer.
  3. Knead the cookie dough
  4. Mix the Dulce de Leche into the coconut and mix together until fully combined.
  5. Using a table spoon make small balls of the filling. 
  6. Grab a spoon of cookie dough and add the filling inside, and close. Repeat until all of your cookies have been made. 
  7. Preheat the oven to 375º F and bake the cookies for 10 minutes. 
  8. Remove the cookies from the oven and sprinkle powered sugar on top
  9. Place the cookies on a cooling rack. 
  10. Enjoy!
