Goan Kormolas | Goan Christmas Sweet - Sousa's Kitchen

 


INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 Tsp Cardomon Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Ghee / Clarified Butter

Method
  1. Mix the flour and the salt together then pour into the blender. Then add the Powdered sugar into the mixer, the cardamom, Ghee, and start mixing on slow. Slowly add water until dough is formed. 
  2. Place the dough into a plate or another bowl and let it rest for 1 hour. 
  3. Add some flour onto the workstation and knead the dough into the flour. 
  4. Split the dough into 2 pieces, and set one piece aside. 
  5. Using a roller flatten out the dough into a thin sheet.
  6. Using a dough / pasty cutter, cut the dough into small squares. 
  7. Fold both corners and twist. (Watch Video for more details) Repeat until completed
  8. Heat up your oil over med to low heat and add the kormolas and cook until golden brown. Repeat until all the kormolas are cooked. 
  9. Place them on a cooling rack and allow to cool down. 
  10. Serve and Enjoy!
