Goan Fish Cutlets - Sousa's Kitchen

 



INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Maggie Cube
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 3 tsp Garam Masala
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 cut green chilies
  • 3 tbsp garlic ginger paste
  • 1 1/2 cups coriander
  • 2 cups sliced onions
  • 1/2 cup sliced tomato
  • 50 Oz or 1.4 kg Mackerel / Tuna



Method
  1. In a pot over medium heat add about 1/4 cup of oil and let it heat up.
  2. After the oil is heated, add in the ginger garlic paste and the green chilies. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes and stir occasionally to prevent burning.
  3. Add the onions and continue to cook for 5 minutes,
  4. After about 5 minutes, add in the salt and in 1 tsp of Salt and 1 Maggie Cube.
  5. After cooking for 5 minutes, add the tomatoes and continue to cook for 5 - 10 minutes. 
  6. Add in the turmeric powder, Cumin powder, Chile Powder, and Garam Masala, and Mix all together.
  7. Add in the Mackerel / Tuna and mix everything together until everything is evenly distributed, and add salt as per your taste.
  8. Add Cilantro and mix everything together.  Continue to cook for about 10 minutes, and stir occasionally to prevent burning. 
  9. Remove off the stove and let it cool down for 15 - 20 minutes
  10. Add about 1/2 cup of bread crumbs and mix everything until fully combined.  
  11. Take about 1 1/2 to 2 Tbsp worth of mixture and pat into oval shaped cutlets. Coat in course semolina and repeat
  12. In a pan over medium heat, add some oil and let it heat up. After the oil is heated add the cutlets into the pan and add oil as needed. 
  13. Flip cutlets after they are light golden brown.
  14. After cutlets are golden brown on both sides, Server and Enjoy!
