Beef Patties | Puff Pastry - Sousa's Kitchen



 INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Cilantro
  • 1 lb / 1/2 kg Ground Beef
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp chilies
  • 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Tsp Chile powder
  • 2 tsp Garam Masala


Method
  1. In a pot over medium heat, add the oil, and let it heat up for 2 minutes.
  2. After the oil is heated, add in the onions and sauté for 10 minutes. 
  3. Add in the tomatoes, and continue to sauté until the onions are golden brown.
  4. Add in the ginger garlic paste, and mix together.
  5. Next add in the turmeric powder, cumin powder, chili powder, garam masala, chili, and mix everything together. Add about 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  6. Add in the ground beef, and mix until everything is mixed together. Cook until the water evaporates.
  7. After the water evaporates, add cilantro, and mix together. Continue to cook for 5 minutes. 
  8. Remove the mince into a plate and allow to cool for 15 minutes. 
  9. Add about 1 tbsp of mince to the center of the puff pastry, Make a paste of flour and water to use to seal the sides of the puff pastry. Apply mixture to the corners to seal. Fold the puff pastry. Seal the edges with a roller or a fork, Repeat
  10. Beat 1 egg in a bowl and apply the egg wash to all of the patties. 
  11. Preheat the oven to 350° F or 175° C
  12. Place the tray into the top shelf of the oven and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  13. After golden brown, remove from the oven and place them in a plate. Allow the patties to cool down for 10 minutes, then Serve and Enjoy!
